The Mauch Chunk Museum is just a few doors down, a great insight into history of Mauch Chunk/Jim Thorpe.

We love the Asa Packer Mansion!  A great tour peeking into a grand old home and lively stories of Asa Packer and his family.  And, immediatly following the Asa Packer, hightail it down to St. Mark’s Church and soak in the beauty that this church is.  Truly, one would never expect a treasure like this to be squirreled away in small town America.

The Old Jail MuseumA must visit on the Mauch Chunk/Jim Thorpe history tour.  The building is full of intrigue and lore, best known as the site of the hanging of the Molly Maguires in 1877.

Eckley Miner’s Village is one of of our fav haunts, a great place full of history and lore, perfct for a walk around and feel for how folk’s lived…….in the day.

No. 9 Mine and Museum, Ride the rails into the world's oldest continuously operated anthracite coal mine.  Definitely a unique experience, not to be missed.
